measurements are off, chafing on my neck

i took this on my long run, i was expecting it to be better than my skin 8. i have a skin 8 and it is good, didnt rub on my neck. i was expecting this sense pro would be better as you know, its called 'PRO'? but it is not as good as skin 8. i am dissappointed. apart from that, the measurement is off, i dont look like the model in the product images, it was huge on me! my chest measurement is 34, i thought S would be perfect but it is not. it's as if i am wearing my husband's vest

Ripped after two runs- poor design

Very disappointed. I wanted to love this vest but let me down after two runs. Now the Flask Tube bounces around while running. Very annoying…

Perfect hydration vest

I am so glad that I bought this hydration vest. It is so light and comfortable that I completely forget I am wearing it. I love the practical soft water bottles and the straws are the perfect length to sip water whilst running. Lots of practical pockets. Washes really well. This has transformed my long runs, wish I had bought it sooner.

Lightweight and fits perfect

The Sense Pro 5 vest fits perfectly and is nice and lightweight. Has many pockets and I like that it holds two smaller bladders instead of one. Highly recommend!

Great Vest

I bought this vest to wear on long runs for marathon training. It is comfortable for 20-mile runs and does not move. It is also light which is nice in the heat. There is plenty of easily accessible storage without feeling bulky. The vest does not chafe when I wear tank tops but I would recommend wearing it with a higher-necked top otherwise it would rub my collarbone. I ordered the vest in the blue color which does get salt stains but they are easily fixed when wiped down. The water bottles are great and don't bounce or rub against my arms. The straws were a little difficult to remove from the base in order to cut them but it worked better with boiling water.

Best vest ever!

I am sure many runners can relate. We spend hundreds of dollars on various running contraptions that hold our water, food and phones, but we are never quite happy with them. They bounce, chafe, hurt our shoulders, make us overheat, bruise our hips, and more. So we move onto the next best thing (spending even more money) hoping that it will be marginally better. And then comes along the sense pro vest. I have two of these so I can promise, the purchase is worth it. This vest is soft (no chaffing), fits snugly (adjustable clips and elastic band that can be adjusted while running/consuming the water - so no bounce), it distributes weight nicely (no sore shoulders), it is thin (no overheating) and it has pockets galore (that are easy to access even when the vest is on). I have the women's version and the unisex version. I would recommend the women's version only because the water bottles are shaped differently and curve around boobs nicer than the unisex bottles. My only suggestion to change the product would be to make the straws easier to adjust. It took me longer than I would like to admit (and a few youtube videos) to get them off, cut them and get them back on.

Could be amazing

First its so hard to cut the straws, a little warm water doesnt do it. Second the fit just doesnt feel right and cuts into the back of my neck, for the price i shouldn't be worrying about chaffing etc. I order the large and im a 34c and its snug, so thats doesnt say much for the size range. I love the fabric it's made of i wish that was touching my neck instead of the mesh backing. There is know was i can where a tank top with this back, Id go through so much nut butter and kt tape. My advance skin fits much larger and rubs less but that fell apart week 1.:/

Love it but…..

Let’s start with the good. Love the female fit, flasks are quite comfortable and I’m a medium chested gal. The tubes on the flasks can be shortened and I actually quite enjoyed them with shortened tubes. Very comfy vest and lightweight. I did notice the bit of chafing some others mention here, but I always wear tshirts/higher necklines when I run so it wasn’t a big deal for me. Now for my biggest issue….My first salomon pack lasted me years before showing signs of wear and tear. I bought this pack for an ultra race a couple weeks ago. Wore it a couple times for training and no problem. Beautiful. Wore it for my race shortly after, and somehow it tore! Multiple places I might add, one being on the back mesh panel which makes no sense to me since everything inside was stored in a dry bag. I didn’t take any falls nor did I do any bushwhacking where a tree could have snagged it. When I pay this much for a pack, I expect the integrity of it to last me at least a few good years. This has left me entirely disappointed since I really do love the pack but I’m afraid to wear it and if I do actually run into anything it’ll fall apart and not last. Maybe a malfunction? Not sure.

Design flaw

Sorry Salomon - I typically love your products and their quality but.....I bought this looking for something to hold my hydration while pacing in the Leadville 100. I've worn it now 3 times on 15+ mile training runs. Every time I end up bloody because of rubbing on the neck and chest. This is a HUGE design flaw for an expensive pack. I now have to decide either to modify it myself or tape up my neck and chest to protect my skin. Neither optimal. I will give the pack good points for fit.

too old to run so far
