Bike Travel Bag

It's safe to say, that as much as we enjoy traveling for races or bike tours, the whole process of packing our bike and lugging it through the airport is less than desirable. Most cases are either difficult to maneuver or just plain flimsy. The EVOC Bike Travel Bag is a soft-sided, reinforced case with all the features, and more, of cases that rival the price of your bike.

To begin with, packing your bike in the EVOC is simple. You only need to remove the pedals and wheels, and disconnect and turn the handlebars. All this is easily accomplished with a set of Allen keys. Once the bars are removed and turned sideways, a series of straps hold the frame and bars securely in place. You won't have to worry about everything slipping when TSA inevitably opens your case to check for the overlooked banana or CO2 cartridge.

Separate pockets, designed as a part of the case, hold wheels — they are wide enough to accommodate up to a hefty 2.5in downhill tire. The pockets also provide additional structure to the case to protect the frame.

The EVOC case features heavy duty ripstop nylon with 10mm padding throughout the exterior. Abrasion resistant panels reduce wear in the corners and on the bottom. Keeping your bike safe is first and foremost, but being able to transport it easily through the airport, without hiring a luggage cart, is just as important. EVOC's inline skate wheels with sealed bearings as well as numerous well-placed handles will have you rolling fast. Additional side handles make lifting it off of luggage conveyer belts and into your car a piece of cake. Unlike hard cases which are bulky and difficult to store, the EVOC folds down to about a third of its size and fits in a closet or even under your bed when you are done with your travels.

Because EVOC knows that you own more than one bike, its bike case fits bikes with 650 wheels as well as 29ers. It also fits all your standard 700c bikes: road, time-trial, cyclocross, and triathlon bikes; however, if you're using it for a skinny tire bike, Evoc recommends the separately sold Road Bike Adapter to better secure the all-to-delicate fork. The bag's external measurements are 53.2in long by 31.5in high by 15in wide. It is available in Multicolour, Red, Blue, and Black.
