Why We Like The Ranger Glove

When we're riding, we like bar-feel, but we also appreciate padding. Coverage is key, but we don't want to feel stifled and sweaty. Fox Racing's Men's Ranger Gloves strike that balance, eschewing the padding of their Ranger Gel stablemate and extending a sheathe of lightweight, breathable protection the full-length of your fingers. A silicone grip finish on the fingertips offers the kind of purchase on brake levers we wouldn't see with bare, sweaty hands. Conductive thread offers uninhibited touchscreen capabilities.

Too much palm fabric

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
L

These gloves are cheaply designed. There's so much palm fabric that bunches up when your grip the bars. It seems they designed them thinking your fingers would be straight out and not curled. Creates a really uncomfortable connection withe the bike and caused blisters on my plams from the extra fabric. I never get blisters, even when riding with no gloves. I've kept trying them, hoping maybe they'd break in, but I'm retiring them and going back to my TLD Airs. I'd rather have to buy TLDs more often (they wear out fast) than wear these. The cuff also doesn't seem to come up high enough so the gloves feel like they are riding low on your wrist. These are a really poor product from a company that is known to produce really great gear.

Wear Out Fast

Familiarity:

Second pair of these I've owned. First pair lasted 2 years with a few holes developing around the stitching after 400+ miles of ride time. I've owned these for less than two months (maybe 100 miles of ride time) and they are already coming apart around the stitching. What is happing to the quality of this product FOX?

Palm wears out fast

Familiarity:

Glove is decently comfortable, but a little stiff. Not bad overall, but the palms quickly started having little pieces peal off and they wore out really fast. About the same price as TLD Air gloves, which I like a million times better and will buy again before I buy these.

THIN

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Doing a prelim review since my last pair of rangers was from a few years ago and the material was nice and burly, still in one piece after all this time but decided to get a size down with my most recent order and these gloves have got THIN. My scooby doo costume from Spirit Halloween had higher quality fabric than these. I'll update my review as I get more ride time in on these but initial impressions feels like paper mache on my hands

Great Gloves

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

First pair of riding gloves and very pleased after a couple of uses. Touch screen print works as advertised. Very breathable coming from someone who sweats a ton. Read conflicting reports in reviews about these fitting true to size, however in my experience I had to order a size up to XL (even after following the product sizing guide which told me I was an L). So if your hands run slightly large I'd size up. Great product overall.

Good gloves!

Familiarity:

Grip is good, and I didn't overheat on an extremely hot day. Also, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I can use my phone while wearing them. Can't miss at this price!
