Why We Like The Lazer Cage Kineticore Helmet

When we're pushing our limits out on the enduro course, we want top-notch protection for our noggin that isn't going to weigh us down. A carbon-reinforced fiberglass shell keeps this full face lid clocking in at just 820g for a medium, and with extra cheek pads, we can dial in our perfect fit. The KinetiCore technology offers both rotational and direct impact protection earning it a 5-Star rating from Virginia Tech. 20 vents offer tons of airflow so we aren't tempted to take it off during the climbs, and an anti-slip goggle grip helps keep our vision unobstructed on the descents.

Well Done - Common Lazer W

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

L

I put this thing through its paces this past summer. Went with a size large and glad I did. I've got like a 59cm head, and I'm at the very top end of most mediums (my Bell Sixer included), large in POC. Large is perfect and I ended up going with the thicker cheek pads for my smaller jaw. Nice open design for airflow, kineticore technology is lighter and simpler than MIPS, and thankfully didn't actually have to put its safety features to the test. Clean lines, good track for goggle strap to adhere, wide face opening. Even without a dial retention fit system, this thing stays put even through those technical sections, rock gardens, jump lines, and drops. It's very breathable and manages moisture very well; I'm not a heavy sweater but hate sweat dripping into my eyes and never have any issues there. Visor is fixed-position, but in an optimal place where I never really want to adjust it. If you're looking for a comfortable full face with the right safety features and great breathability, this is 100% the move. #BackcountryGearheads #CompetitiveCyclistGearheads

DH-Certified with Enduro level comfort

Familiarity:

Lazer was able to dial in an extremely comfortable helmet that is lightweight and breathes well, while still offering the highest level of protection. I've loved riding in this helmet, except for the pads along the jaw-line, of which are interchangeable, have broken clips after a use or two. Included are two sets of pads, one large, and one small, to dial in your fit, I tried swapping to the larger size, and the plastic pins broke off inside of the helmet. This is not the biggest deal, but frustrating in some manner. Just make sure to be gentle on them, and not make my same mistake. Overall this helmet is just right for riders like me who are looking to do some occasional bike park or enduro riding, and keep things light and comfy like we're used to with half-shell helmets.

Lightweight, great ventilation, clean!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The one thing that would have made this a 5star helmet - its missing a fit crank/dial most modern helmets have on the back of the helmet for a better customizable fit. I was on the low end of a medium (56-57cm with a more oval shaped head) but needed to size down to a small for the right fit and use the larger cheek pads to dial it in, the medium was just too big which is rare for my head size. Once I got the right size I am pumped on this helmet. Magnetic buckle system is a must, just makes things soooo much easier. I have not used it with a neck brace but love that it has that compatibility if needed and like mentioned, its a very ventilated helmet. Solid lid!
