Aeria T2 AL Aerobar

Profile Design introduced an aluminum version of its Aeria aerobars with the Aeria T2 Alloy, and they look and perform much like their lighter counterparts, with a notably lower price. While you won't get any of the road-dampening, weight-saving benefits of carbon, you'll get almost all of the other features of the Aeria T2 carbon with the aluminum version. Time-trialists now have another UCI-approved, 3:1 ratio option to choose from that offers effective aerodynamic positioning with plenty of maneuverability.

The Aeria Alloy's basebar, extensions, and brackets are all made with 6061-T6 hydroformed aluminum, with zero drop throughout. The extensions are narrower than other similar offerings from Profile Design, yet have a shorter reach to keep them easy to control. Profile Design uses a patent-pending integrated bracket to secure the extensions while joining the brackets and wing together for a sleek design that hopes to create more longevity for bolts that aren't left exposed to the elements. Like the carbon version, the Aeria T2 aerobars are fully compatible with Di2 integration so you'll have fewer distractions while you're racing and less drag in the wind.

The performance-oriented design of the T2 keeps these aerobars aggressive, but Profile Design includes aluminum S-Bend extensions with an adjustment range of 200-300mm so that you still have options for low hand placement. If you end up wanting to adapt the shape of the bars later, the extensions can be swapped out for any of Profile Design's other carbon or aluminum options.

As with most of Profile Design's aerobar options, customization is encouraged throughout the Aeria, with included risers that can give you the highest stack of any Profile Design model, taking the bars from 55mm to 153mm to add comfort when you need it. The cushioned armrests offer 30mm of adjustment as well, and altogether, these aerobars will add about 850g to your frame.
