Lifesaver!
I absolutely love this bottle! It was so much fun to be able to use it at a stream while on a long run in the Olympic mountains. I needed it to help refill my water, and I was so glad I made this purchase. The flow is great; mildly slower than the normal Salomon flasks. No complaints at all!!! I'll have to pick up at least one more soon. Highly recommend!

Perfect solution to minimising carry weight
I just did the GR54 with a minimal 3.5kg (base-weight) pack and that was possible, in part, to the XA Filter in my Adv Skin 12 vest. I may only have left the refuge or gite with 1 litre of water, but being confident that I could refill safely from sources en route made life easier.

Love Filtering on the go!
If I know there will be water available, filtering on the go is my favourite way to get water. I love that’s it cold and I don’t have to carry extra water weight.

Great - but Reduced Flow after Storing
I've been using this filter for 1.5 yrs. Great product. Most efficient and quick way to get safe water for my long runs. After storing for approximately 5 months the flow was reduced to drips. I was able to increase flow by soaking in soapy water in a Nalgene and shaking to remove particles.

Totally unusable
Purchased this product specifically so I wouldn't run out of water on longer runs. However, only able to use it twice. On the third occasion I couldn't get the top off, it was stuck so couldn't refill it. I thought perhaps I had put it on too tight. Eventually after soaking overnight I managed to get the top off. The next time I used it I only screwed the top on very lightly. Tried to refill and again the top jammed and this time despite soaking overnight I can't get the top off. Unfortunately I am now find myself stuck with a very expensive product that I can't use. The 30 day returns for free has gone, so I either write it off, or pay and also have the inconvenience of returning. Shame on Salomon, would have expected better.
